With the constant encouragement and support of our beloved Chairman Professor.Dr.M.Karunanidhi B.Pharm.,M.S.,Ph.D.,D.Litt and the Medical director Professor Dr. K. Prakasam, MS., D.Ortho., D.Sc (Hons)., Swamy Vivekanandha Medical College Hospital & Research Institute conducted its second MEGA CAMP between 17.4.23 and 30.4.23. Apart from the existing 2 free bus routes, 5 more bus routes were operated from Namakkal, Paramathy, Sankari, Attayampatti, Kumarapalayam, Pallipalayam and Paramathi for the transportation of the camp attendees on the camp days.
For all those eligible beneficiaries apart from 3 days free treatment, free investigations viz., Complete blood count, Random blood sugar, Serum creatinine, Total cholesterol, Serum uric acid, ECG, ECHO, USG, TSH, PFT and Endoscopy were done and those needed further management were admitted in the Swamy Vivekanandha Medical College Hospital and Research Institute. CT SCAN & MRI SCAN were done for the needy patients just at the rate of Rs.500 & Rs.1000/- respectively.
Under the guidance of the Residential Administrative Medical Officer, Prof. Somasundaram, Camp Coordinator cum Professor & HOD of the Department of Community Medicine Dr.K.Muthukumar, formed a well-coordinated team of doctors including Dr.S.Kavinkumar, Dr.Nandhini, Dr.Santhalakshmi, Dr.Mahalakshmi, Dr.Selvapriya, Dr.Saranya, Dr.Kavitha, Dr.K.Krupanidhi (Deputy Medical Superintendent) and Dr.Nivedhana (ARMO) for the smooth conduction of camp throughout the camp period. And the team did a dedicated work as expected which was well appreciated by our Medical director Professor Dr. K. Prakasam, MS., D.Ortho., D.Sc (Hons)., and our Medical Superintendent, Prof.M.Manoharan M.S.,
Our PRO team comprising N.Anbazhagan, U.Krishnasamy, M.Thamizhan and M.Suresh kumar had done an excellent field work in ensuring the outreach of the news of MEGA CAMP between 17.4.23 and 30.4.23. up to the every grass root level, which lead to the grand success of the Mega camp.
All the doctors belonging to various departments viz., General medicine, General surgery, Obstetrics and gynecology, ENT, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Pulmonology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry and all the paramedical Staff actively contributed to the success of the Camp.
A Massive 11000 beneficiaries attended the MEGA CAMP between 17.4.23 and 30.4.23 and 300 attendees were admitted in SVMCHRI for further management.
100% free of cost treatment for all those eligible beneficiaries who were admitted under Chief Minister’s extended health insurance and ONLY 50% of the total hospital bill was charged for those NOT covered under CMCHIS.
