White Coat Ceremony for the First year MBBS (2022 - 22) Students of  Swamy Vivekanadha Medical College Hospital and Research Institute was held at Vivekanadha Auditorium on 23.12.2022 From 10.00 A.M to 12.30 P.M. The function was presided over by our Honourable Chairman “Vidhya Rathna” Professor Dr.M.Karunanithi, B.Pharm., M.S., Ph.D. The Chief Guest “Dr.A.Muruganathan” Former Emeritus Professor The Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR  Medical University.Parents were received with warm welcome by the reception committee on their arrival. The function began with the prayer song followed by lightening the Kuthu vilakku by Chief Guest, and other dignitaries. The Dean Dr.A.Edwin Joe, MD.,BL., Welcome the gatherings. The Chairman Dr.M.Karunanithi released the academic calendar of first MBBS which was received by the chief gust. The white Coat Ceremony began with the unveiling of white Coat chairman by our Honourable Chairman followed by distribution of white coats and stethoscopes by Chief Guest to  students,  Professor .Dr.P.Sasikala M.D., Department of Anatomy has read the Oath of White Coat Ceremony and the Oath was taken by students after adoring the coat and lighting of candles.

Respected Medical Director Professor K.Prakasam M.S., D.Ortho., D.SC., (Hons) delivered his special during his address prated the Chairman for his untiring service in education field and he expressed his desire to the students that they should bring global reputation to this institution with hard work and sincerely.

Dr.Muruganathan Chief Guest has advised the Medical Students to be friendly with patients and communicating  to then own language in addition to treatment. He instructed research activates to be encouraged  in the medical field and students will be given incentives for research activates.

The Honourable Chairman during  the presidential address extended his greeting to the students and thanked the parents for opting the college. The chairman was optimistic that the budding doctors will keep up the culture and discipline of Swamy Vivekanandha Educational Institutions and to be role model to the society.

The function concluded with the vote of thanks by Professor.Dr.Milind V.Bhutkar M.D., Vice Principal Swamy Vivekanandha Medical College and Research Institute.
