Swamy Vivekanandha Medical College Hospital & Research Institute as a part of மக்களை தேடி மருத்துவம், a project by the Govt of Tamilnadu to serve the rural and outreach population, conducted a free medical camp on 19.11.2022 (Saturday) at Community Hall, Pirithi
Swamy Vivekanandha Medical College Hospital & Research Institute doctors belonging to various departments viz., General medicine, General surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, ENT, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Dermatology and Paramedical Staff performed the Camp activities like free general health check-up, free blood sugar check-up, free ECG and gave free Medicines.
For all the beneficiaries apart from free treatment, free blood tests, and ECG, referrals were done to Swamy Vivekanandha Medical College Hospital and Research Institute at free of charge for those needed further management. 197 beneficiaries attended the camp and availed the free medical services. Among the 197 beneficiaries, 12 were referred and 4 were admitted to the SVMCH& RI for further management.
Those who needed admission were advised to bring the Chief Minister’s extended health insurance card and the ration card. The number of beneficiaries and the referral details were shared with the மக்களை தேடி மருத்துவம் cell.
