Department of Orthopaedics is one of the major clinical service departments of SVMCH&RI ant the department services in offering Trauma & Orthopaedic Care. The services are excellently managed by the most efficient, experienced faculties who are trained well with specialized surgical techniques

As our medical college is located at the busy place at the State Highway, Orthopaedic department serves 24 X 7 accident and orthopaedic emergency services. During emergency out department services starting from the reception of the patients in the accident and emergency department until the patient is fully rehabilitated. The department has a state of the art, well equipped modular operation theatre.

This hospital is a major referral center for orthopedics from all over Namakkal District. All types of trauma surgery, joint replacement surgery, sports injury surgery, spine surgery, onco-surgery, reconstructive surgery & pediatric surgery for the correction of congenital deformities are routinely taken care off. The department is also provided access to the Advanced Learning Center (ALC), where at the Surgical Skills Lab; residents can practice dissection on simulators.
