We the Department of Anatomy, Swami Vivekananda Medical College Hospital and Research Institute,Proudly conducted various competitions for students of I MBBS 2021-2022 EXORDIANTZ Batch on " WORLD ANATOMY DAY". Students of 7 groups with namesas Achilles, Billroth, Calotes, Douglas, Eustachian, Fellopio and Gerotta were Participating in various events like Rangoli - Theme as “Exploring Histology" followed by Face/ Body Painting, Skull decoration, Model making including working models, Photography with theme "Exploring anatomy using nature". The event was followed by Mimes competition - Theme "Body / Organ Donation". Last event for the day was Quiz  Competition.

Prize distribution was organized by Anatomy department on 17/10/2022 between 10.30 am - 11.30 am. The function started with Tamil Thai vaazhthu, followed by Lighting of lamp by our honorable Chief Guests Medical Director Prof.Dr.K.Prakasam, MS, D.Ortho, D.Sc ( Hons) sir, Respected Dean Prof.Dr.A.EdwinJoe,MD, BL ( FM)  Sir,Guests of Honour Resident AdministrativeMedical OfficerProf.Dr.S.Somasundaram,  MS ( Gen Surgery) sir, Beloved Vice PrincipalProf &Head.Dr.Milind Butkar, MD (Physio)  sir and MEU Co- ordinator Prof.Dr.P.SasikalaMD ( Anatomy) and Organising Chair  person Prof & Head.Dr.K.Udhaya,MD (Anatomy). Dr.Sivasakthi gave a key note on  "World Anatomy Day ". WelcomeAddress was given by Prof. Dr.K.Udhaya. Our Chief  Guest Medical Director Prof. K.Prakasam, addressed the gathering. Prize distribution for  all 7 competitions with I, IIand IIIPlaces were given followed by Overall championship of  Runner up and Winnerstrophy.Books were also awarded for all 22 participants of  Winners team.Dr.C.Maheswari, Dr.S.Srinivasan and Mr.G.Paramesh were organizing  the prizedistribution events.

Vote of thanks was given by Dr.V.Shanmuga Priya. The function was successfully conducted in a grand manner and ended with National Anthem
