World TB day

National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme 2025 Updates

 

World TB day was observed in Swamy Vivekanandha Medical College Hospital and Research Institute by the Department of Community Medicine and the Department of Pulmonology in association with the Medical Education Unit on 05.04.2022. In the Lecture Hall between 11.00AM and 12.30PM.

In the presence of Medical Director Dr.K.Prakasam,M.S.,D.Ortho., D.sc(Hons).,, Dean Dr.A.Edwin Joe, M.D., B.L., RAMO Dr. S. Somasundaram, M.S., Medical Superintendent Dr.Manoharan,M.S., and the Chief Guest Dr.R.Vasudevan, Deputy Director of Tuberculosis, Namakkal District the program was started.

Dr.K.Muthukumar MD., Professor& HOD of Community Medicine welcomed the Medical Director, Dean, RAMO, Medical Superintendent and the Chief Guest Dr.R.Vasudevan, Deputy Director of Tuberculosis, Namakkal District and all the participants.

Medical Director Dr.K.Prakasam,M.S.,D.Ortho., D.sc(Hons)., gave the inaugural address.

Dr.M.Punitha SR in Pulmonology introduced the Chief Guest.

The Chief Guest Dr.R.Vasudevan, Deputy Director of Tuberculosis, Namakkal District delivered the Guest Lecture, on National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme 2025 Updates.

Dr.Kavinkumar Saravanan Assistant Professor gave a brief lecture on Epidemiology of Tuberculosis Elimination Programme 2025 Updates.

1st MBBS of SVMCH & RI made Short film on TB along with poster presentation which was well appreciated by the Dr.R.Vasudevan, Deputy Director of Tuberculosis, Namakkal District and all the faculty.

Dr.Dharani Asst Professor in Pulmonology gave the Vote of Thanks.

All HODs, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, SRs, JRs of all Departments and all the 150 students of 1st MBBS of Swamy Vivekanandha Medical College Hospital and Research Institute attended the guest lecture.
