Free Medical Camp Conducted at Vaiyappamalai (8.5.2022)

Swamy Vivekanandha Medical College Hospital & Research Institute as a part of மக்களை தேடி மருத்துவம்(A Scheme of Health services at Home), a project by the Govt of Tamilnadu to serve the rural and outreach population conducted a free medical camp on 08.05.2022 (Sunday) at Govt. Primary School, Vaiyappamalai and the nearby villages viz., Marapparai and Nagarpalayam. 

Swamy Vivekanandha Medical College Hospital & Research Institute doctors belonging to various departments viz., General medicine, general surgery, Obstetrics and gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics and paramedical Staff performed the Camp activities like free general health check-up, free blood sugar check-up and gave free Medicines.

For all the beneficiaries apart from free treatment, free screening tests were done and those needed further management were referred to Swamy Vivekanandha Medical College Hospital and Research Institute at free of charge. 127 beneficiaries attended the camp and availed the free medical services. Among the beneficiaries 25 were referred to the SVMCH& RI for further management.

Those who needed admission were advised to bring the Chief Minister’s extended health insurance card and the ration card. The number of beneficiaries and the referral details were shared with the மக்களை தேடி மருத்துவம் (A Scheme of Health services at Home) cell.
